Welcome to the American Colonies circa 1760...

In the world of Round Route you are a young trader just starting out in your career in British Colonial America in the 1760s.  You've spent the last few years working odd jobs for local farmers, trappers, and merchants giving you a variety of skills (and some starting cash) that can be used to build your fortune trading goods and services all around the 13 colonies.  Make your fortune, marry your sweet heart, and live the good life.  Colony life is rough, so beware of robbers and looking to steal your supplies as you travel the land

Project Background

Round Route was create as the capstone project my Master's degree in the Serious Game Design track of the Telecommunication, Information Studies, and Media (TISM) department at Michigan State University. The goal was to create a game to reinforce 7th grade geography and history curriculum that would appeal to students outside of class.

For a detailed explanation of the game's design, please view the project wiki: Round Route Project Wiki. Please note the proceeding link redirects to Assembla.com
